Wheel Loaders

Wheel loaders are vehicles used to load material such as asphalt, debris, dirt, and gravel into or onto another type of machinery such as a dump trunk or feed-hopper. They can be either wheeled or on tracks and are made up of a front-mounted square bucket connected to the end of two booms used to pick up loose material. The loader can either be removable or permanently attached; if removable, it can be replaced with other devices such as forks used to lift heavy pallets or containers and clamshell buckets used to allow the loader to act as a light dozer or scraper. They can also be equipped with attachments like bale grapplers. Wheel loader rentals in PA for quarry and mining operations are most common. Loaders are also commonly used for transporting materials into trucks, clearing rubble, laying pipe and, to a lesser extent, digging. Their buckets are deep, usually storing about 3-6 cubic meters of earth, with a capacity much greater than that of backhoe loaders. They are generally wheeled but tracked loaders are also common. Loaders rentals in Pittsburgh can also be used for snow removal. They are generally controlled by articulated steering, meaning they steer by a hydraulically actuated pivot point exactly between the front and rear axles. This type of steering allows for better maneuverability.
