Rental Backhoes

Backhoe loaders are tractors fitted with a bucket loader on the front and a small backhoe on the back. Because of its nature as a tractor, backhoe loaders are able to easily navigate over many types of terrain. The loader on the front is mainly used to pick up and transport material, and the backhoe is used to dig up hard, tightly compacted material or lift heavy loads. The backhoe may be replaced with power attachments such as breakers, hammers, stump grinders, augers, and grapples. Also attached to the backhoe loader are two stabilizer legs behind the back wheels. These legs balance the backhoe while digging by keeping the tractor steady and ensuring it wont slip into a ditch or hole. Stabilizer legs can be used with either grouser shoes (for use on dirt) or rubber-padded shoes (for use on asphalt). Due to their small size and versatility, backhoe loaders are commonly used in urban engineering and small construction projects. Backhoe loaders may be used in a variety of projects such as small demolitions, light transportation, power building equipment, digging and excavating, landscaping, and breaking asphalt. We offer backhoe rental for PA customers, with a dedicated branch in Murrysville for backhoe rental in Pittsburgh.
